This Customer Success Team Member Grew Up in Funeral Service

As a Customer Success Manager at CRäKN, Sarah Auble works closely with Funeral Directors to understand the operations of their Funeral Homes. Once she understands more aspects about their business, she then helps to create a CRäKN experience that will best serve and suit them.

So what does a “typical” day look like for Sarah?

On any given day, Sarah is responding to live help messages, working with her Customer Success team to brainstorm new customer experiences, or she can be found on the phone checking in on clients—both new and old—to make sure CRäKN is serving their needs.

Once you know more about Sarah’s background, it’s not surprising to hear why she’s so effective as a Customer Success Manager—after all, she grew up in a Funeral Home in a small town in Ohio.

Years later, she went on to attend Wittenberg University where she played volleyball and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s degree in Analytics. With a vision of becoming a licensed Funeral Director, she has also attended the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.

Her role at CRäKN combines all these passions—a passion for business, data management, and Funeral Service. “I’m learning so much from my teammates and clients that I am excited to implement in my future as a Funeral Director,” she explains.

Q: What was your background before joining the CRäKN team?

I grew up in a Funeral Home, watching my father and grandfather serve our community. I started “working” at the funeral home when I was 10 years old and still help when I can.

I have a passion and appreciation for the work that Funeral Directors do. I am grateful to be able to offer them solutions that manage the small details to help keep the focus on their families.

Q: What’s something you do to stay productive?

I have a detailed morning routine that gets me up and moving for the day. I also participate in work out classes and volleyball leagues to stay energized and connected to my community.

Q: What’s a movie you’ve seen recently that you enjoyed?

Disney Pixar’s “Soul”. It’s a great reminder to live with purpose every day instead of living to find your one true purpose. We are capable of so much more than just one thing. We are meant to live and enjoy every moment of the time we have. I would recommend this movie to anyone. It’s great for children and adults!

Q: What was your favorite vacation you ever took?

I studied abroad for four months in Costa Rica. I was able to fully immerse myself in a different culture and travel to a new place every weekend. Costa Rica possesses the highest density of biodiversity of any country in the world! I’ve never been surrounded by so many different plants and animals in my life!

Q: What’s the best advice you ever received?

My father once told me, “Don’t let money make decisions for you. You can’t take it with you.” Tomorrow is never guaranteed. I’ve learned to enjoy life and experiences using the money I’ve worked hard to earn. I say yes to more trips and shopping these days!

Q: What are you most looking forward to in the coming months at CRäKN?

I am excited to see what our team can accomplish at CRäKN. We are constantly improving and brainstorming new ideas that will elevate our product to best serve the needs of our clients.

Q: What is something you enjoy about your current role?

I really enjoy talking to all my clients and learning new ways to manage and operate a successful Funeral Home. My future is in this industry, and I am excited to implement what I learn at CRäKN to my future as a Funeral Director and Funeral Home owner.

Q: If you could choose a superpower, what would it be and why?

I would want to be able to fly. I would never have to sit in traffic or pay for a flight ever again!
